Network Marketing Director

General Job Description:

Are you an experienced TV marketing and promotion wiz who encompasses these qualities: Strategic. Hands on. Collaborative. Engaging. Persuasive. Proactive.  If so, Weigel may have the role for you.  This senior marketing position will help conceive, plan and implement the strategic marketing of company TV networks, related projects and initiatives on national and selected market basis with the goal to improve network awareness, ratings and audience engagement. Reports to the VP of Network Marketing.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Manage the Affiliate Marketing Manager and oversee network TV affiliate marketing and promotion.

Help ensure consistent and effective affiliate marketing of TV networks that is compelling, on brand and focused on audience development and ratings growth.

Communicate network marketing goals, plans and expectations to affiliates and measure and report on local affiliate results.

Provide affiliates with marketing and promotion materials as needed or requested.

Oversee day-to-day media grant and co-op programs with network affiliates and station groups.

Review media pre-plans and buys, coordinate brand messaging and creative media production, review media affidavits, coordinate accounting and tracking post-buy.

Measure and report network TV affiliate ratings and results.

Manage talent relations and logistics.

Plan and oversee talent market visits, assist affiliates with local appearance planning to maximize network promotion, plan travel and oversee after-event accounting.

Help plan and produce talent production as needed.

Other duties, as assigned.

Requirements:

Should have strong entertainment industry marketing and affiliate relations experience in TV network, studio or syndication business with an emphasis on entertainment programming and promotion.

Familiarity with local broadcast TV affiliate operations, promotion and sales.

Strong background in off-air media strategy, placement and execution related to audience development and promotion of TV network, studio or syndication entertainment brands that drives ratings and viewership.

Must be a solid strategic TV marketing and promotion leader who can oversee and guide various facets of network TV marketing and promotion.

Strong professional communicator skilled in verbal and written communication.

Must be able to build and manage relationships with TV network affiliates and other constituencies.
